Planning for October and November

Katherine, Melinda and I are trying to get all of our ducks in a row (hm… I wonder how that turn of phrase came into being) for our October 4th kick-off, the other two October events and a successful November. In addition, we’re already planning facilities for 2009’s NaNoWriMo (the rooms fill up fast!).

Katherine and I are meeting at the local Panera (where we will be holding one of our October events) for lunch this Friday (September 12). Let us know if you’d like to come out and join us.

  • Tim and I met at Panera–we discussed details for the various pre-November events, with the idea that attending all three will help people start on track.
So we’re focusing on plot and characters for the kick-off, then timeline, location, setting for the 10/18 and opening scene, final scene for the 10/23 event with plot twists and other ways we can help each other with our 2008 NaNoWriMo projects.
Hope to see lots of people at the events!

If you’re sitting at a sandwich or coffee place in the next two months, consider having a sign about NaNoWriMo next to you–and a — ask me questions note.
    Here’s the 2008 flyer:

Feel free to talk up the planning events and the write-ins.
