Very soon now we will need to reserve rooms for 2019. Please let us know your thoughts on whether we should try again to hold the All Day Write-In (hosted very capably the past few years and again this year by Sam Brown; before that, Katherine Lato hosted them).
Feel free, too, to share in this thread your memories of past All Day Write-Ins.
This year's All Day Write-In will be 8 AM-3 PM at the Naperville Municipal Center (room B)November 17th (Saturday).
I like the all day write ins...i do understand the logistics of hosting it on a saturday...I just wish the municipal center was open far longer. I LOVED the all day write in that went until 7 or 8! though, a 12hr write in like that...would most likely come on a week day...and those would be harder for me to make these days with a toddler...and needing to find a sitter.
After going to a few all day's now...I feel like I should stream line what I bring. I always bring WAY to much lol!
and Wait a minute, Tim. Saturday SEPTEMBER 17th? LOL! I know what you meant...but at first, i almost did a panic like "WHAT?! DID NANO SWITCH MONTHS??!!"
I'll be a story in your head. But that's OK:We're all stories, in the end.Just make it a good one, eh?
I always enjoy the all-day write-ins. The ones I've been to turn into the biggest progress days of my entire November. I really enjoy the focus, the fun, and the excitement of kicking off the new NaNo month. Being among all the people working toward the same goals and having some friendly competition helps encourage me to do more in a day than I would do on my own, and the longer length of the session prepares me to sit down and focus for an extended period of time.
That being said, like most of us, I have a day job (and school now too) and can only participate on weekend days. Wherever it is, whenever it is, I would really enjoy doing it yet again. Our hosts have a special place in my heart - THANK YOU! (^_^) <333

Thanks very much for the correction!
