Add me please? Writing a middle reader fantasy story about a brother and sister who were raised in separate settlements on different planets, brought together to save earth.
The name's Atomspliter. My story is a Fanfiction quite possibly unlike any you have seen before, capable of intertwining any other story with itself. I am the writer of Reality Shift and have written over 1000 pages since January. It started with Bakugan, and it's only been growing ever since.
Please add me. I am writing a fantasy novel about a race to seal a gate before it destroys the world. I suppose that is as short a blurb as I can do! Thanks!
A tree-jumping geek competes against the high schools football MVP with the winner taking the head cheerleader to the Homecoming dance, but he soon learns that unconditional love is compelled to help the cheerleader find her true love.
I am replying in this thread so I can be on this graph.
I am writing The Chronicles of Helos Book 1: The Fire Eye Wars.
It tells the story of Kayt Halcyon, who comes to be known as Helos, the wrathful storm. Kayt's world is plunged into war by the warlock Fire Eye Mul and even after he is slain his legacy still haunts the world.
Please ADD me (debko) to the graph, thanks! I'm planning on coming to the party. Thirty thousand is about as much as I could do. First year of Nano, I learned don't take a vacation to Florida in November. Second year, don't get the flu. Third year, don't start a complicated literary novel when quantity is important over quality. This year, it was, be prepared for your husband to travel on business half the month and manage two small kids. (Oh, and when stressed--because your husband is gone, your kids are in too many activities and there's something every weekend--it is not in your best interest to go bidding on EBAY to fix that stress.) LOL Really though, they're all excuses. Anything we come up with in life as to why we don't do something is an excuse. I told my husband, it's not like we are people hiding in a secret closet in WWII. We all have the ability to achieve what we want. We live in a country with probably too many opportunities. Still, I fought hard to get those words in and I say, it's good enough for me. Congratulations to all of the winners, you are inspirations. To the one who wrote 120,000 plus words, you show we have the ability to far exceed what we think is impossible. To the ones from one word to 49,999, we are the underdogs, but we have the courage to try. God bless us all and our crazy lives during this month of November.
This poem reminds me of writers during NaNoWriMo month. Together we are better than alone.
ODE BYARTHUR O'SHAUGHNESSY
We are the music-makers,
And we are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers
And sitting by desolate streams;
World losers and world forsakers,
On whom the pale moon gleams:
Yet we are the movers and shakers
Of the world for ever, it seems.
With wonderful deathless ditties
We build up the worlds great cities.
And out of a fabulous story
We fashion an empires glory:
One man with a dream, at pleasure,
Shall go forth and conquer a crown;
And three with a new songs measure
Can trample an empire down.
Would love to be added if not too late! It was a crazy hectic month that had me out of town for work for nearly two weeks, a holiday and some big life changes. Can't wait to get out and be a part of some of the write-inevents next year. Thanks to those who pulled it all off, huzzah!
But I did it! Just broke to 50k today! Woohoo me!
