Hello, friends! If you decide to come out an join us, we're upstairs, towards the back of the library. They have a new 'Collaborative Zone', so if you can't find us just ask one of the librarians and I am sure they will be happy to help!
And for record keeping sake, which will be updated if/when people join us:
Squiddish started with770 words, and ended with 2,715. Ntrusner started with1,794, and ended with 2,986. Jen.e.moore started with 3,016, and ended with5,189.
Thanks for coming out, ladies! I'll be here again on Thursday, so if anyone feels like joining, come on out. (Also, check out the calendar, because I'll be hosting some write-ins next week at Penrose Brewing and I highly suggest everyone come. [If you're of legal drinking age.])
Hello! I saw there was one this saturday, is that wrong? You seem to make it sound like this is a recurring event. It says that it starts at 1pm. I've never been to a write-in before...would I be able to stay for an hour and then leave? I didn't want to, but I have to catch a train to Chicago. If I can't do that, then I won't go so as not to disturb the group by leaving early.
"I was working on the proof of one of my poems all the morning, and took out a comma. In the afternoon I put it back again." ~Oscar Wilde
Yes, you can come and go to a write-in as you please! They're no-pressure events that are suppose to offer moral support on your writing endeavors. Write-ins take you away from the standard home distractions of things like TV or pets (or Fallout 4, in my case,) and help you focus on just writing. Often times participants will run word wars in which they set a length of time to write, and compete to see who can write the most words in that period of time, but there aren't really any losers since everyone wins for having added to their wordcount.
Hey, friends! So it's Thursday again, but not only was I feeling a little under the weather, but that made me forget about the write-in this morning! I might pop in a little bit later, if anyone shows up, but otherwise I'll see y'all at one of the other write-ins. ;)
