As we approach Thanksgiving, and are trying desperately to figure out how to wrap up our novels, or get to 50,000, or....
who's up for the challenge of working as many Thanksgiving objects into one sentence as possible? Here's my passage from an earlier novel, French Impression:
(Note, they're in France)
"My stepson has been invited to a traditional Thanksgiving meal, and would like a preview of the dishes tonight so he knows what to expect. A web search reveals a lot of variety. Can you tell me what is usually eaten?"
"Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, cranberries, pumpkin pie. Some people have sweet potatoes, others a green bean casserole."

Note, it would be possible to milk that list for a lot of words.
