11:12PM - I made it! My official End of NaNo count is 56,476!

I am exhausted but I did it. I figure I wrote for about 17 hours today. I wrote from midnight to 2 am then got up at 5:30 and kept going until the validation finally showed over 50000 -- which was just past 11:30pm. I realize that's about 20 hours, but I figure with various necessary breaks, I really only wrote between 17 and 18 hours. It was brutal and I know spell check is going to show a massive amount of typos as I chose speed over accuracy.
But I did it and now I'm going to crawl in to bed and sleep well into Saturday.
Congrats to everyone, regardless of your final word count.

Wow. Of all of the people above the nanobot line, I had noted how your wordcount was in the red zone and I thought, poor Robin, she won't make it across this year. Then this morning I checked the challenge page only to see you with 37845 words written in the final week, good for second place! I am amazed.

Congratulations!

And congrats to everyone--you all did a wonderful job! Now folks need to let me know if you prefer your nanobot blank (so you can decorate it) or if you want me to add the eyes and arms.

You not only made it to 50K, you also beat my word count for the 18K challenge. (But Alex beat you.) Still, you wrote more words in the last 7 days than a bunch of other people who were also writing frantically. And you won!

Woot!

Please add the eyes and arms to mine.
Oh, and make 16 cyborgs if you have the time since we all deserve them. :)
Hey, you like a challenge, right?

I would love a nanobot with arms and eyes. :D

He can be Captain General Gorilla's (the fuzzy-armed guy with the bead ears and gear eyes) half-brother and Captain of the enemy airship.

I wish I could; but I had a very limited supply of cyborg arms, alas.

I agree that everyone deserves one. :-)

Tim, I'd like eyes and arms on mine.

This was an absolutely great motivation! Helped me write when this cold knocked me down.

Thanks,

Dave

Thank you, but I will never ever ever EVER do it like that again. That was a brutal last day -- I'm afraid to read what I actually wrote, it might be more like gibberish than anything coherent. But I do now know how much writing I can do in a day :-/

Arms and eyes on mine please :-)

TogetherAgain

I would like my NaNoBot with arms and eyes, please! Otherwise, knowing me, it will stay blank forever, and it will be sad, and the other NaNoBots will laugh at it. And that just wouldn't be fair to such a nice hard-earned NaNoBot.

I'm in the same boat as TogetherAgain - arms and eyes please, or it would stay armless and sightless. Thanks for the great challenge, kept me motivated to the end.

I'm going to be the first rebel to ask for a blank one! :D I just think that decorating it would be so much fun!

I love writing. I love the swirl and swing of words as they tangle with human emotions. ~James Michener

Tim,
May I have eyes and arms on mine? Thank you!

I would love eyes and arms as well. And thanks again for helping with the motivation to write those words!
