We have a number of prep sessions scheduled to help people get ready for NaNoWriMo.

These are listed at:
http://naperwrimo.org/wiki/index.php?title=2011_Events

And are in the Google Calendar.

And we have a kick-off party planned.

Now is a good time to start thinking about your novel for this year. You can do all sorts of prep work to make the writing go smoother in November.

10/2/2011 update
The RSVP form for our October events is now available. Please help us plan for these events (e.g., # of handouts, etc). Just visit http://naperwrimo.org/oct2011/
Thanks!

In case you were wondering...

All of the sessions are independent; you don't have to attend all of them, but they should not overlap much. Sometimes people ask the same questions, and the answers may be the same, depending on the question. Some questions are about how people do something and that varies writer to writer. Feel free to come to one, two or them all. It is up to you.

All three of the Saturday afternoon prep sessions are different, each led by a different NaNo participant. The first one October 8th will focus on plot development.

Dave Dean (one of the co-Municipal Liaisons) is giving a special session from 10:30 AM-noon in the Plano library on Friday, October 7th as well.

We have a Frequently Asked Questions list at our site:
