I woke up this morning with a useful tidbit about two of my characters. They are minor chars, but it's about time my subconscious started contributing directly to this endeavor. Anyone else have something come to them just as they woke up, or out of the blue during the day?

The tidbit: the main character's twin daughters have been sharing a dorm room ever since one of their roommates left the college. The main character thought it was better for the twins to be with other people, but evidently they've been sharing a dorm for weeks.

Like I said, not major, but something else for her to discover and worry over. I'm just excited that I'm dreaming about my characters and remembering it.

The vultures sound brilliant. So much better than an awful book I read around a somewhat similar premise of a demon who died quasi-redeemed and got stuck in purgatory.

Nothing useful for this novel, but I did get a little (strange) snippet/idea for what I'm going to work on when this one is finished. Not sure how it's going to work out, or even if it'll be enough for a whole book, but I'm pretty intrigued. (It involves people who die with unclaimed souls [IE: They were neither good nor bad, and thus neither God nor the devil have claim over them] spending their time in purgatory as vultures. It's strange, but I kinda love it. XD)
