Naperville MLs Tim, Dave and Katherine: You guys are the best, your enthusiasm and encouragement have made Nanowrimo so much more fun than I ever thought it would be!
Tim-thanks for bringing cookies to the write ins, because I was so busy writing I forgot that I might find myself hungry in the middle of a three hour write in. And the plot bunnies now perched on edge of my laptop screen are a pleasant reminder that I can kick out a whole lotta words in seventeen minutes if I need to.
Katherine-your amazing word count soaring far above the rest of us on the word count graph gives us all something to shoot for, and reminds me that there is no such thing as too much story during Nanowrimo.
Dave-your last pep talk email really resonated with me, when I remembered the seventeen year old I used to be many many years ago who stopped writing because her words didn’t sing like Ursula K. LeGuin’s. Thank you for letting me know I am not alone in rediscovering the joy of writing.
The word sprints, the write ins and the pep talks are the frosting on the cake that is Nanowrimo.
Amazingly, you manage to do all this while writing your own 50k novel in November!
Thanks!
(I know this is late, but there’s this novel I’m preoccupied with…)

Thank you, all of you.
If we, your volunteer MLs have done anything to help you on this NaNo journey, then we are happy and content (though I won't be truly happy and content until Naperville catches up and passes by Calgary... :-/ ); you are the reason that Naperville is truly a wonderful region--you make NaNo a fun, exciting experience.
And I too would like to pass along my appreciation to Katherine and Dave for all their terrific and patient work they do.

The emerald buds of springtime transform to a chlorophyll green--twisting stems in summer breezes--but it is the lilting autumn season that is a harbinger of personal growth as writers.
The liaisons bring form and meaning to our November. Like the leaves, we experience a final bountiful burst of hue before the denouement of the writing season on December 1.
A bow of gratitude to our liaisons for guiding us through the shoulder season with poise and hard-work.
The municipal liaisons are November’s russet leaves, weaving toward earth from purchases high in the fall trees, calmly creating a bed of inspiration and memories before the cold solstice of winter editing.
Thank you, Tim, Dave and Katherine.
