Yay! I can write! We all can write!

I'm basically just posting this so I can see that bar under my user name is no longer completely empty...

This is my fourth year doing this insane quest and I've already had two "firsts":
- I couldn't start at midnight like I've done for the previous three
- I have NO clue what my story is about this year! Ack! I had plots in mind before. Beginning and endings. This year? Bupkis. Zip, zero, nothing, nada. I've started a Fantasy novel with a prologue taking place 300 years prior to the events of the main novel, but I'm not sure where I'm going with it. Guess I'll be "winging it" all month long! :D

(still managed to knock out 1981 words; far less than my usual starts, but still ahead of the NaNo goal, so I'm happy with it.)

Go Naperville!
(are we having the local word count graph again this year?)

As I got out of bed to write around 1:30 in the morning, my husband gleefully informed me that he was ahead of me in word count. I'm now ahead of him, but far behind my son who is at more than 4,000. Let the games begin. (later today)
Time to go back to bed.

I'm at 1067. I woke up waaayyyyyy too early today. I meant to set an alarm to wake me up for midnight, but I forgot. But I woke up anyways. It's the little-kid-on-Christmas mentality. :D But I'll be exhausted for school now. Whatever, English teacher's unveiling NaNo to my class today, so I must go!

I'm at 2799 and going strong. I want to get down Chapter 2 before I break for sleepy time, then bang out Chapter 3 (possibly Chapter 4?) tomorrow. My goal is to get 10,000 words on November 1, just for fun. =D

VENOMOID

Look, we're the TOP region in average wordcount! (It's just so cool to see, even though I personally haven't contributed to it at all.)

----------

2009: Heading Homeward - failed, BADLY; just wasn't ready/too busy, I think
2010: (untitled) - I'll do my best!

I'm bad at keeping track of my posts, so please message me if you'd like a reply. I don't bite!
