We have aSlack chatroom(seenaperwrimo.slack.com) for online write-ins. To get access, enter your e-mail addresson this page. You will receive your account credentials through e-mail and be able to join the room.

You're welcome to give it a try now, but most activity will likely happen in November. People can meet up there to do some online word wars (with a little chit chat on the side).

Slack has an advantage over IRC in that there is contextual history preserved for the room, so that people can interact with each other asynchronously (where in IRC you might miss a person by seconds and never know that they had been there at all).

To run a word war, you can go to the #wordwars slack channel and run a command like this:/remind @here Stop writing:hamster::hamster::hamster::broken_heart::broken_heart::bangbang::bangbang:!!! in 17 minutes

Note that for privacy reasons, people's e-mail addresses are not displayed in their slack profiles (this is a slack channel configuration option we've decided to do).

Ive never done a chat room before. All the options are a bit overwhelming. I dont even know how/where to post my word count Guess I better find out soon
