I'm glad I was able to make some write-in this year. There's a nice dynamic when you have more than three or four attending. There were so many write-ins (I can't believe I am saying this) and I heard some feedback that attendance was down because there were so many options.
Not sure this is a suggestion or simply an observation.
I think it's good to mix it up a little. Having some write-ins that aren't at libraries, for example. I know the one we did at Balydoyle had several people commenting that it was the first write-in they went to, and they went because it had atmosphere which some people find conducive to writing.
For the kick-off, do we really need to have a raffle? It feels like we're duplicating the TGIO. It might be betterto pair up experienced and non-experienced people so that it's fresh for the people who have been coming to kick-offs for years and still allow new people to learn the information they need.
Let us know:
Also, let us know if you're interested in helping out next year.
Thanks!

Hi Tim!

Thanks again for all you and the other MLs do.
Dave
Thanks for the feedback, Dave. Yes, I heard that comment too.
On the one hand, it's great to give people options nearer to their homes.
On the other hand, perhaps it is good to get a critical mass; but it's hard to know when/where the libraries will want to host a write-in.
