The best thing about ... being a morning writer ... is that I can get my day's writing done and not feel like I have to look at it again all day. (I did that Sunday and Monday, today it took until mid-afternoon.)
Now, write your 'best thing about' -- which can be anything you like.
the best thing about having my own office is that i can turn on the space heater...the small room heats up fairly quickly...(until i set the temp too high and i start to roast! LOL!)...the dog has a bed under my desk so he can keep me company (until he farts under the desk...in which case..."G'AWN...GIT! GIT OUT, YA LITTLE STINKER")
AND...the best BEST thing...i have a tv mounted on the wall so i can distract myself and watch "Parks and Recreation" on netflix...or watch some Doctor Who...or anything else i want...OR hook up the HDMI cable to the laptop/tv...and dual screen everything for awesomeness...or to just play my Itunes through the tv speakers...or...turn on the "cafe music" channel on pandora so i can feel like i am in a cafe when i write
and did i mention: i have a nice solid door to close...and my husband and I already discussed that...if my door is closed but not shut, I can be disturbed...but knock first...and if it is 100% shut...LEAVE ME ALONE!
i love my sanctuary...
Don't blink. Blink and your dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back, Don't look away, and don't blink!
The best thing about November is discovering a story I hadn't planned and seeing it unfold. When I get into the flow of writing it doesn't matter the time of day or the place, the story becomes the event!
Writing a spoopy novel is that listening to horror movie themes (or the xfiles theme) REALLY gets me in the mood and REALLY sets the mood for this scene i am writing. I just pray no one sneaks up behind me at this write in and scares the living pee out of me! (no, really! because i think i have to pee BUT THIS SCENE NEEDS TO BE WRITTEN plz don't scare me .__. )
OH! it just went from the exrocist theme to the halloween theme...i think after that i have the doctor who theme next...and then SCOOBY DOO!!!! (which should come in handy when my scene needs spoopy but not scary spoopy!)
Don't blink. Blink and your dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back, Don't look away, and don't blink!
The best thing about ... being an outliner ... is getting to bring to life twists and turns in the plot and character development that I sketched out months ago.
the best thing about my new-not-so-new-keyboard is...that while i may have found it in the basement with other old computer parts and this keyboard may be 15 years old...
the buttons feel amazing. they feel like a mechanical keyboard (the old school ones that make a click noise when you type)
i am very particular to certain sensations and i absolutely adore the feel of some keyboards (i am the weird one who types on the keyboards at electronic departments or stores)...i love keyboards that click with some heft to it...not like the softer quieter pansy keyboards of today...
I only have 1,416 words left before i hit today's goal and i have 55 minutes to do it! COME ON NEW KEYBOARD! LETS DO THIS

The best thing about being a night writer is writing in a dark, quite, cold room with only your laptop as your source of light, noise, and heat.
The best thing about living alone is that I can write as much as I want, wherever I want, whenever I want, and no one distracts me! :D
