Where is your space? Your place of zen where you can sit down to write? do you feel more peace at a starbucks? At the library? Maybe you have a nice desk that is your space...

show us where you write! or tell us where you go that gets you inspired to write!

As you can see, my desk is piled with crap and more crap (it's my personal A.D.H.D nightmare...that has only gotten worse since I came off my ADHD medication). I wanted to have this desk for writing and doing office work...HAHAHAHA...I have overtaken my art desk which is JUST as messy...)...but I need to keep that free so I can sew and work on art stuff!! (and yeah yeah...most of that blurry stuff is sailor moon merchandise...BECAUSE I CAN'T STOP COLLECTING...SH'UP.... <_< )

other than that...I LOVE going to the library...it's so quiete...and I can bring a water bottle and a snack...but my FAVORITE place thus far...is this little cafe in down town aurora...right on the river. Delicious food...and that cafe atmosphere for writing...

but, if that place is closed or I am not in the area...then I prefer Panera bread or starbucks. Sometimes...just getting out of the house...away from this MESS...and into a situation where I have a warm cup of cofee or tea....and a good bowl of soup with a sandwich...

ohhhh ~_~ I could write for hours!

I can also write for hours if i go to any write-ins...because i am specifically GOING JUST TO WRITE...which is why i can't WAIT for the all day write in!! Part of me hopes I don't have a second job by then and that I'll have ONLY to leave for 2-3 hours so I can babysit and then come back!

So...show us your writing space! or tell us where you go! Where do you need to situate yourself to let those writing juices flow?

NaNo doesn't have the ability to upload photos. You have to upload them somewhere else (flickr, picasaweb, imgur) and then get the URL to the image and put that into the photo dialogue box.

If you e-mail me the photo, I can post it on naperwrimo for you and send you the URL.

but why not tell us about your writing space? or what makes it ideal? or how about what kind of setting/mood has to happen so you can get into that writing groove?

Maybe if i clean off my desk (HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, yeah right) or the dinning room table...and i put on some leggings and a scarf...and make tea...and play some cafe music on my pandora...i might get in the mood...

Here is my NaNo Writing space, complete with my crazy wall, a Cyberman to scareoff those who try to distract me, my classic Ikea Jerker desk with a laptop and extra monitor, and our cat that wrote our 2006 family holiday letter. As much as I like it, I still prefer writing in local coffee shops and other public places. There are less distractions and there's something about being out in public that helps me focus better on writing.

Are you sure the cyberman won't try to upgrade you???????? better sleep with one eye open LOL!...i also see one little teeny tiny pull out table on the desk that is perfect for a glass of milk and jammie dodgers...or fish and chips...OR FISH FINGERS AND CUSTARD O_O ....all those would be PERFECT writing snacks!

Nano hasn't started, officially...but prep season has...so what better way to write more in my planning notebook...than to sit at starbucks with a pumpkin spice latte (SHHHH I LIKE THEM SO NYEH)

Use my favorite pens...write in a pretty notebook...and PLAN out this nano rather than be a pantser...i tried that last year...and nope. this year i'm a planner!!

I am just SO excited...that I wanted to post my AFTER shot!!! my desk before was a complete mess and i am SO proud that I was actually able to get it this done!! It's often hard for me to stay on task, or finish tasks, or even start tasks...because of my ADHD (more so now, because I am no longer medicated)...so i am SUPER proud that I de-cluttered my desk and it is fully functional and usable now!!

take a look at the pic on my tumblr for a better quality...i DARE you to spot all my nerdy things!It's so clean!

I just felt like sharing this with you all...because behind this picture is a door I can shut, and above the pink folder is a wall mounted TV...and attached to the TV is my HDMI cable...so i can hook it up, open itunes...and my santuary is complete!! On the otherside where my art table is, i have a space heater...so when Nano-days get cold, i won't have to be!!

.___________.;;;;;;; oops...my writing space MAY have reverted back....but it's not a total loss!! there is still JUST enough space for my laptop, mouse, mousepad and story notes composition book. everything else is filled with clutter...even clutter that makes me go "wtf, why is this here..." such as styrofoam soup bowls...complete with lids.

I hope to go to the coffee house soon...i like writing there becauseRivers Edge Cafeis my favorite...and the food is good...and you can't go wrong with a hot latte and some cream of chicken wild rice soup...with a sandwich.

Short writing sessions, meaning an hour at a time are at the dining area table. If I'm sleepy I put my lap top on buffet and write standing up. If I want to write for longer I go to the Starbucks and write standing up at one of their high tables. I'll be writing sitting down at the Corner House in Lombard on the 12 th and 19th from 1 - 3 pm. I should probably get out more, but it's pretty comfy at my own desk, it's what I'm used to, and the commute is extremely short.

I am going to put it out there: I am jealous...only because...*gasp* IT'S CLEAN!! i cleaned m desk but it went back to a clutter a few days later LOL!
