I've prepared ukulele tabs for Typing Away Again Near Dear Ol' Naperville (could also be used by guitarists) and was just curious how many musicians we have in the region who might be willing to play the song at the TGIO (Catherine's husband Bart has done this on the guitar for us). Typing Away Again Near Dear Ol' Naperville is a parody of Margaritaville by Jimmy Buffett. Several Naperville region wrimos helped in the creation of the lyrics (especially Cassidy :-) ).

Background Motivation

I got a Risa Uke Solid electric ukulele for my birthday this year; and, after binge-watching all nine seasons of How I Met Your Mother (which had terrific humor and storytelling), I was moved to learn La Vie En Rose. It is tempting to accompany our region song at the TGIO, though I probably wouldn't do it unless there are others pitching in...

In addition to our own regional song that we'll sing, we'll also be singing the parody of YMCA for the OCGR. Here arethe ukulele tabs and lyrics in case anyone else wants to bring out a uke or guitar or banjo or something and help us accompany the song.
