My novel this year is untitled as of now, but basically it centers around a group of guys that have formed a sort of crime circle, making small jobs and pulling a decent take.
Then someone with more notoriety and a higher body count than they can imagine requests a spot in their circle, and things unfold from there

Isabel Ryans discovers that she can give life to the dead and consequently falls in love with a guy from the early 1900s who died at 17. Cue angsty teenagers and people who want to take advantage of her powers.
Oh, and also she's the only person alive who can defeat this really, really, bad guy.
The human race has started to mutate. Lavender and Indigo are now natural hair colors and every person in the world has some super-sense. But when new mutations begin to show up, that just happen to twart a major disaster, They begin to suspect something is guiding the change.
Mana Victoria, an expert psychic assassin, has destroyed the legendary Daat Academy in a training match that leveled the colony. She's punished with a limiter device and shipped to faraway Einsof Academy, where some of the best psychics in history are training to take on her kind.
Solomon Van Laar is walking the razor's edge between spying on Mana for the mysterious Gevurah group, and pretending to have powers just above his target's newly suppressed capabilities.
Tachibana Kohaku transferred to Einsof two years ago, from the Settler Worlds, an ungoverned region of space that has branded her with the stigma of a seditious barbarian. When Solomon returns from his mission, Kohaku's already complicated school life is destabilized by her unreciprocated feelings for him and the presence of his old crush.
But a Daat's Dr. Andreovich isn't done studying Mana. Not by a long shot.
Hi. This is my first time with NaNoWriMo. I am writing a mystery about a cheating husband and his sex club addiction. It's called Dead to Me (working title).
I never title my stuff, unless it's completed withall revisions/edits.
It's about someone wins a decent sizedlotto ($44M), splitting the pot with someone else. For this story, if someone who wins the big prize doesn't claim it within a year, it is split amonganyone else who winsthat drawing. Unknown to the MC, the drawing was rigged. The person who bought the ticket with the rigged numbered is ticked, and sending his (or hers - undecided) people to try to find the person with the winning ticket (and steal the ticket back)before it is claimed.
With more personalcraziness than some yearsI debated on officially joining in this way (especially starting in the "Will Robinson" group), but I still have time, and I tend to write in large chunks.
I'm doing my first NaNoWriMo this year. The story is taking all kinds of twists, but includes three children, a car crash, missing money and a missing father so far.
Joining so that all the folks who are behind (like me) can stay inspired! We can do this!
My novel is the third in a series called Windy City Witches. A 30-ish Chicagoan named Stella discovers she is next in a long line of witches. Will she be able to continue running her sweet shop in Lincoln Park and maybe have a normal relationship with Josh, the hot lawyer? Or will the witches Council of Eight decide she is too public with her Healing ways. I'm hoping to find out in this installment. :)
Hello! I thought I had posted before but I don't see it now. If this is a duplicate please disregard!
My story has changed names a couple times already, currently called "Free Bird" It is the sequel to my novel "Black Bird" that I wrote a couple years ago. It's a post-apocalyptic romance where the characters struggle between the needs of the population and their own happiness.
My novel is about a young woman, Julia, who finds out she has a clone (who eventually is called C8 - pronounced Cate - short for her ID code 40BNC8). She and her clone skip town, running for their lives from the agency that is now coming back for the runaway. C8 is abducted and Julia must decide whether or not to save her clone, or accept the proposed 'deal' that will allow her to return safely to life as usual, and forgetting the incident ever happened. But her decision becomes more complicated when she finds out WHY she was cloned, and the realization forces her to come to terms with C8's humanity as a separate and unique (albeit not genetically unique) individual.
It's a sort of soft/sociological science fiction, I'm really excited to see where this goes! The ending I have in mind right now will probably need to be changed - the resolution feels way too convenient. It's not predictable (I hope / don't think), but it feels like I may be picking the low hanging fruit.
Mike Auburn has discovered that when puts himself in a position on the brink of death, the dead become real to him. This causes him to tumble headfirst into the mix of a global conspiracy between world governments to usher in a new god into the world with the Resurrection of Lazarus. A series of betrayal and espionage among communities leads instead to a permanent real tear in the barrier between worlds of the living and dead. Heretics have ushered in the Seventh Age, bringing forth the return of Demon Kings and Magics. A Multi-Character Novel of Urban Fantasy and Supernatural Horror with a heavy elements of espionage and world changing events.
My novel is romance about a (nearly) middle aged (read - 39yo) successful Manhattan attorney who prides himself on forming no personal attachments. He is shocked when he is recruited by a spirit to deliver messages from the departed to their living loved ones. After exhausting all reasonable explanations, he agrees to take on his new role, but the spiritual duties soon clash with his materialistic lifestyle and he is forced to make a difficult choice. Little does he know the repercussions the choice will have on the rest of his life.
Guess I'm a bit late here, but better late then never.
My novel consists of a trio of homeschoolers: agirl, her brother and her best friend. They are thrust into the depths of anunderground resistance. Here, they must counter the power of a mysterious lady in green. The main heroine must also realize her potential and power with the ability to hear the "film score of the universe."
I've been bogged down by this year's creation, pondering and stewing for the first ten days of November. Now it's time to fill in the scenes on my novel idea "Ephemeral Realty" to see if there's a story in there or not. The story characters are leading me, which creates all kinds of problems from POV to finding Plot Points. Oh well. Write on, MacDuff!! Can Revision be far behind?
Continuation from Harboring Cain from 2012, our anti-hero now knows he's a werewolf and must come to terms with this in both his life and their community.
Oh, fine, I'll join this, too. I'm currently writing several stories, but the following have been the biggest word contributors thus far:
Tenza Chronicles*: A young man named Two Crows Thunder joins the massive Tenza corporation and becomes a genetically modified soldier to protect civilization and industry around the globe, all the while wrestling with questions of humanity and his own identity.
Arkers*: Frontier, Reckless loves her job as a courier on the half-settled planet on which she was born. Dodging flygers and carnivorests is all in a day's work for her and her arker, a horse-goat hybrid named Lug. But when they're selected to escort a big-city doctor to the frontier lands for his charity work, her whole life gets turned on its head when she comes face to face with the death of a loved one.
Firebrand: Ditzy sorceress Kairi, her friend Mintsuna, and their combat partners Draco the dragon and Bonko the blue chicken buck the thoroughly established system of guardianship that keeps their magical country safe from monsters. Needless to say, they make a lot of people angry, but that doesn't mean they can't have fun and make a few friends in the process.
Now a full high school graduate, Cataryna must embark on her path toward her future. Being Daughter of Emperor Hadyn and Empress Dyahnna comes at a price. Not only does she have to complete a bachelors degree chosen for her so it will benefit her future role, that future role is to become Empress of NeoSerenity when her parents step down. On top of that, she also has Elemental magic that no one helps her understand and she is constantly made to think of it as a negative in her life. something to make her a freak.
Can she handle all the stress and verbal abuse? or will the demons in her past and in her life be her undoing? Can she finally beocme free to take herself on the path meant for her or will she be dead long before then
My novel, Harbinger (working title) is a paranormal murder mystery set in a small town. Bizarre events and quirky characters abount while fifteen year old Finn tries to uncover the secret workings of the town.

Hey there! I'm a newbie who has joined the ranks of my fellow writers who enjoy prose and have pretty much sworn off sleep during the month of November lol My name is Gina Fugate and my YA novel is called One Voice : A Journey Into Madness. Please add me to the magical chart! :) Thanks and happy writing!!
I was told I should probably put my synposis and such down here, so...
My novel's about a young woman named Grace who finds out she's being laid off from her job becauase the non-profit that employs her lot the grant that paid for her position. The book is titled Grace & Resilience.
Late joining, and with little show so far this month....BUT.
My novel this year is a steampunk fantasy about a girl who goes on a quest to save a long-lost royal princess, only to discover she's accidentally unleashed disaster on the world instead. So far it's combining elements of fantasy races (faeries and humans so far, who knows what else will appear), steampunk inventions, political intrigue, lost princesses who aren't as in need of rescuing as one might think, and more!
Took the inspiration from a fanfiction idea I had for Jim Henson's Labyrinth and twisted it around into a pretzel. Fun so far!
I am joining kind of late but I didn't notice this earlier.
My WIP's current but definitelynot finaltitle is "College Survival 101... Literally" My novel is about a zombie outbreak on a college campus. It is written in diary format and it is more of a comedy than anything else.
My novel this year's working title is The War of Olslain. It is a fantasy, that follows a magical twenty something as she finally finds out about her past and what it means for her future.
Hello! My novel's a continuation of the one I was working on last year (I promise I'm adding new stuff to it, not just copying and pasting what I already wrote like a dirty, dirty cheater). It's about a boy (I finally figured out how old he is this year!) who goes to a super awesome school in space, but not all is as it seems. It's mostly free writing and seeing where the story takes me, though I have a general plot in mind. Sorry for joining so late, but hey, I was writing :P
Better late than never! My YA novel is Song of the Brimstone. A strange storm wreaks devastationon the United States leavingdestruction in its path, but alsogives a large number of teens extrasensory powers.Frankie and his friends enjoy wtaching the media circus caused by all these kidsgetting superpowers at once. What can I say? Better late than never. I'll do my best.

Put me on the graph please. My archaeologist novel that Iworkshopped in our Journey meeting is what I am finishing this year.
Yeah throw me on the graph as well:
Seventh Age: Dawn
Mike Auburn has discovered that when puts himself in a position on the brink of death, the dead become real to him. This causes him to tumble headfirst into the mix of a global conspiracy between world governments to usher in a new god into the world with the Resurrection of Lazarus. Please add me to the NaNo graph. I love being a part of this each year!
My novel is romance about a (nearly) middle aged (read - 39yo) successful Manhattan attorney who prides himself on forming no personal attachments. I'd like to read that. Sounds appealing.

adavaughan, that is just the type of book I love to read! Sounds fantastic!
