Saturday lunch at Clara's (free soup w/ entree) before the Woodridge write-in!

At the last Sunday write-in, I heard a few comments wistfully wondering if we would have any meetups during the month (vs. the write-ins where everyone just focuses on their novels). So we will meet up for lunch 11:30 AM, Saturday, 17 November, before the 1:30 pm Woodridge Public Library write-in.

This is a great opportunity for talking about where you are in your story, asking for help and plot-whispering on your story, discussion of techniques in writing, etc. The lunch outing after the Carol Stream write-in the first week was a blast; this will be lots of fun.

I will not be there for lunch, but I'll be at Woodridge around 2:00 for some happy fun writing times. :)

I'd be down for lunch. Especially Clara's, as I've heard it's pretty great. But wherever the group decides to go, I'll go.

The write-in itself is from 1:30 - 4:30 pm. The lunch would likely be from 11:30-1:15 pm. Would you be able to join in for both?

I LOVE Clara's. It's a great place. Hope to be there, though I'll want to leave by around one to get things set up at the library.

Oh noooooooooo you're going to go to Clara's before me and I'm the one (of the two of us :V ) that first discovered the place!

No, there's no password to get into Clara's, but I think I'm going to start telling people there is. It will give the place all sorts of cachet. No, the password changes weekly, and if you know it, you get a special deal. You usually need to tell the server you're using the password. Half the time they don't know what it is.

This week, I think the deal is this: if you say "Thanks, Grandpa!" you get a free soup with your entree.
