If you want company while you write--and the chance to win gold paper clips and character creatures, join me.
I will be there from 3-8 (or possibly 9) although I may step out for a few minutes to grab something to eat.
In case you're wondering, I'm not done writing for the day. I don't know that I'm ever 'done' writing for the day.
I'm here at the Caribou in Downers Grove. I've been here for about an hour and a half so far, not sure when I'll end up leaving. If Joe's up for it when he gets home, we may pop over there. Which Naperville one are you at again?
Also, you have wifi. Get in Jabber! There's a few of us in here and we can coordinate word-wars. ;)
The first gold paper clip and purple holder was won by Allison (Kittens McGee)
I'll be popping in after I'm out of work Katherine! I'm also happy to hold down the fort until 9 if you're wrapped up for the day. :)
I think I'm at the right Caribou? On Ogden? I don't see anyone else here. But if you come in later and see me, why not say hi? :) I'm at a table near the window with my little "Hey! I'm writing my novel" 3x5 card table tent. :)
Excited to be starting!!
Jen
Hey! I came to the write-in today and I loved it :) It was my first non-virtual write-in too. I didn't win any of the word wars, but I DID exceed my word count goal for today!
:) and thanks for the sticker!
Totally agree - didn't win any word wars myself, but it forced me to lay down the basics and keep the plot moving! Once the war was over, I found myself fleshing out what was written, adding even more to my word count. Thanks Katherine for being such an awesome host!
I thought this was an excellent first write-in of the month and while I didn't count how many words were written, I'm sure they were a lot. (And not by me, I was fading fast since I'd been up since three am.) Special thanks to Evellyn for offering to host so I could go home.
We had the whole back half of Caribou -- several tables so we weren't crowded.
People attending were:
Katherine (KatherineWriting)
Jen (jen.e.moore)
Allison (Kittens McGee)
Sara (Sarastirsyou)
Katya (dragon_charmer)
Evellyn (Ethompson299)
James (not sure of handle)
Vivian (Black_Betty54)
Becky (Sapphire)
Joe (CorruptedFlame)
If I missed anyone, just add yourself to this thread. Hope to see you all at another write-in.
