Last jitters, shout-outs, cries for help, plans for writing

Two years ago I lost the first week of November because I had to travel to Florida for a funeral. I took my laptop and write a little every day - even though I was way, way, way behind in my word count. I managed to keep enough momentum to carry me through writing after work and on weekends (with a handful of days off from work). I don't know, but maybe you could set a higher daily goal until your surgery and that way won't have to push quite as hard afterwards.
