Downers Grove Write-Ins

I'm going to go ahead and drop a thread well in advance for our write-ins at the Caribou in downtown Downers Grove. These will be held on Mondays starting at 6:00 PM, going until probably 8:00 or 8:30 (since Caribou closes at 9:00).

Last year, we had some decent turn-outs. Pretty sure catatone1, Pazuzu, Sapphire, and myself were at every one, with frequent appearances by WriterPete, and even one appearance by our illustrious leader Tim. ;) We have word wars and occasionally do a bit of chatting.

So if you're in the neighborhood, stop on by~

Those are so cute! I have the DG Write-Ins in my calendar and will try to make it to at least one of them, if not more. Since this is my first time going out to do this with people, I'll have to see how much time I can spend with my writing before the husband starts noticing my absence. LOL

Definitely coming out to these!

Also I should append to this that there might be Tuesday sessions as well, as catatone1 expressed interest in meeting those days. And since I'll definitely need motivation, I'll probably try to be there both days. =P

Oh gosh. Looks like I need to make more goodies if the Monday thing is official!

I think this is the most full I've seen the calendar. We're the best region. :D

The first Downers Grove Caribou write-in is TONIGHT, from 6 to 8+ (whenever you decide to leave :V)

This Caribou Coffee is right on the south side of the tracks on Main Street. There's a parking garage a block or two southeast that I usually park at, but there's also some street parking if you're up for it.

We had four tonight at Downers Grove! Yay! We also discovered they don't close until 10, so we'll likely be there past 9.

We're also going to be there tomorrow (TUESDAY!) for another writing session. Joe will be there at 6, I'll be joining in after I get off work--probably around 6:30 or so. Come! Write! Join in the fun!

I added it to the calendar (from 6:30 - 8:30) in case you guys are running late because you want to vote. I was just looking at the calendar and thinking we needed an evening writing at a Caribou. :)

Tonight's write-up may actually be a wash. Sorry guys! :(

Joe's sick and is taking the night off to get some well-needed rest. I've got to make a pit-stop for food for Noodle the budgie on the way home AND I need to get over to my polling place before they close, so I wouln't be able to make it until pretty late (I'll likely not even get to the polling place until after 6:45). It's hard to say when I'd make it down to Caribou.

I may pop in down at Caribou after I get things taken care of but it's not a guarentee. :(
