Jabber chat room

We have a jabber chat room for online write-ins and meet-ups. You can use your gmail account to access this room or else send me a nanomail (NewMexicoKid) and I will happily create you a jabber account to use.

You can either use the web interface or else run a dedicated client like Pidgin.

Will Jabber accounts from last year still work?

Mine does. :) I'm in there right now. It's quiet and lonely. XD

Can you use Messages (formerly iChat) to get in?

I have not tried it in Messages, but there is a Mac client called Adium that has Jabber built in. I'll go try it with Messages and see if I can manage it.

I did a search in the Messages Help section, and it does look like Messages can be used to access Jabber chatrooms. You will still need a Jabber account from Tim, or a gmail account. I'm setting it up now on my own Messages, but it seems to be having trouble connecting my Jabber account. So we'll see. XD

Okay, I just figured out how to get it to work for the Jabber username Tim made me. XD Still haven't figured it out for Gmail. If you need any help, NaNoMail me. :)

I'm always on my Gmail account. I'll see tomorrow if I can make it into the room.
