Hi, I'm Sarah (sari_anne). I wasn't planning on WriMo-ing it up this year as I'm in kind of a hectic transitional phase in my life, but then there were these posters around the school where I work, and before you know it, I had contacted the English dept and there you have it. So, absolutely no clue what I'm writing and really no motivation except the guilt I'll feel if I utterly fail the students who signed up for the YWP. Bummed I completely spaced on the kick-off party, as that is always a blast, and not sure I'll make it to any write-ins besides ones I might hold with my students. I usually do my November writing at the Caribou on Randall in Batavia and occasionally Graham's in Geneva, so maybe I'll run into some of you--our kind is usually easy to spot.

I've been making attempts since 2005, taking a year off here and there. Won in '09 with barely over 50k. Really, I have no clue what to write. I've been watching way too many episodes of Ghost Hunters International lately (since I discovered it on Netflix Instant--I live cable-free), so I'm thinking something ghost-y as my inner creative spirit has been pretty quiet of late.

Helloooooo Naperville! I'm Pat and I think I'm going Rebel. Got an idea for a story but don't think I can do 50K with it. Just want to get what I can get on it and fill the rest in with whatever. Just doing this for fun. I've done Nano in the past (under a different user) and won only 1 time. Hoping to get a win this year. Write on Naperville!

Hi everyone! I am Marie from Oswego. This is my first year participating in this challenge and I'm not entirely sure how well I will stick with it, but I figured what the heck. I actually have some nonfiction books I would like to write, rather than a novel, but I figure it will still be in keeping with the spirit of the challenge.

I am off to a slow start (having done nothing yesterday), but will make up that word count today, hopefully. :) I'm working on drafting out the outline of the book at the moment.

Hope to check out some of the starbucks/caribou gatherings and meet a few of you.

I'm Tony. As a big fan of Poe, I decided to grab his name.

I planned a lot to write this novel, but see I could have planned more, particular with my characters. My expectation is I'll need around 75-100K to do the story justice.

I'll try to make a Caribou thing.

Hi everyone I'm Jessica and I'm new to NaNoWriMo in general as of this year. This is my first novel and the farthest I've ever gotten with it. I've tried writing four different stories with this idea, but I really think this is the one that will work if I can stay with it.
I'm only 16, so my abilities to meet for write ins are limited. I'm from the Aurora area, and if anyone's heard of Messenger Public Library or the Aurora Library, or anywhere in Aurora actually where it would be possible to have a write-in, it would be appreciated! Weekends are probably best. If that could be arranged, I thank you in advance!
I look forward to meeting everyone feel free to send me a message if you like!
-My word count is not working at the moment but I do have about 2435 words and still writing. Just seeing the number is encouraging. -

Hi everyone! My name is Andrea, and this is my first year doing NaNoWriMo! It's been something I've wanted to do for the past few years, so I finally decided to try it out. I'm a second year journalism student, and I've always been writing down various stories, song lyrics, or anything else that popped into my head. It's nice to meet you all!

I think so. I'm fighting a cold and a tight client deadline, otherwise I'd've gone to tonight's Wheaton one.

I am part of critique group which meets monthly in Naperville that has helped me tremendously, but it has a different focus than NaNo.

I'm enjoying the chart with everyone's numbers. It makes it easier to see things in context, to know the progress others are making.
